Why does nobody talk about reusing passwords across work and personal accounts?

I went to update my password manager last week and realized half my coworkers still use the same password for their email as they do for their banking. It took me 5 minutes to show them how a single leak from a forum site could wreck everything, but they just shrugged it off. Has anyone else run into this wall when trying to get people to separate their logins?

Oh man, I feel this one hard. It's tough because no matter how clearly you explain the risks, some folks just see it as too much hassle. I've had almost the exact same conversation with family members and they give me that look like I'm being paranoid. But you're right, one little leak from a site nobody remembers signing up for can domino into a huge mess. It's frustrating when you're just trying to look out for people and they act like you're speaking a different language.

Eh, @christopherwilson, you're making it sound way scarier than it actually is.
