Heard a podcast host say they only check analytics once a month

I was listening to the 'Creative Grind' podcast yesterday, and the host said she only looks at her channel analytics on the first of every month. She said checking daily made her anxious and changed her content in bad ways. For example, she stopped a weekly vlog series after one video got low views, but later found out her audience actually loved it long-term. She said focusing on making stuff she likes is more important than the daily numbers. It made me realize I check my stats way too often. Has anyone else tried limiting how much they look at analytics?

Oh wow, that is such a good idea! I totally get how daily numbers can mess with your head. I used to check my stats every single morning and it would set my whole mood for the day. One bad number and I'd feel like a total failure. Limiting it to once a month sounds scary, but it forces you to focus on the actual work instead of the reaction. I might try checking just once a week to start. That podcast host is really onto something.

I used to check my analytics every single morning like it was the weather report. I mean, I thought you had to stay on top of it or you'd miss something important. Hearing that podcast host only check once a month really flipped my view. It made me see I was letting a random number decide if I had a good creative day or not. Now I try to only look at the end of the week, and it's crazy how much less stressed I feel about posting stuff. I still care if people like my work, but I'm not letting a daily dip in views tell me what to do anymore.

Totally agree, and @alice_singh66 nailed it about daily numbers messing with your head.
