My weirdly good week after I stopped arguing with flat earthers online
For about six months, I was in this loop of getting into long, pointless debates in comment sections, mostly about the moon landing. Last Tuesday, I just stopped replying. I didn't announce it, I just closed the tabs. The next five days were strangely peaceful. I read a book, fixed my bike, and didn't once feel my blood pressure spike. It made me realize I was spending maybe 10 hours a week on something that changed zero minds. Has anyone else just walked away from a debate and felt better for it?

My buddy used to get into these huge fights about politics on Facebook. He'd be typing angry replies at midnight, just getting more worked up. One day he just deleted the app off his phone cold turkey. Said it was like a fog lifted, and he suddenly had all this free time to actually do stuff. He seems way less stressed now, like a different person.
