Rant: I used to buy every single new #1 issue, now I just wait for the library
Back in 2015, I'd be at the comic shop every Wednesday, dropping like $50 a week on all the new launches. My pull list was insane. Now, I just check the new graphic novel section at the Seattle Public Library every month. I got tired of the constant reboots and event tie-ins, and my wallet couldn't keep up. Anyone else just completely switch how they get their comics?

My pull list in 2018 was so long the shop owner would just hand me a box. Now I wait for the trade and feel like a genius, or maybe just cheap. My bank account definitely prefers this new system.

I switched to a three book limit at my local shop, Comics Plus. It forced me to only follow the stories I really loved, and my shelf space thanks me for it.

My comic book phase was a serious threat to my grocery budget.
