Am I the only one who had a squirrel nest catch fire mid-clean?
I was cleaning a flue in an old farmhouse outside Madison and my brush hit a huge, dry nest I missed on the camera check. The whole thing lit up in seconds, and I had to dump my water bucket up the chimney to put it out. What's your go-to move for a surprise like that?

Dump your water bucket up the chimney? Man, you must have been moving fast. I would have just panicked and watched the whole place burn down. How do you even aim that right without making a huge mess inside?

Actually aiming up a chimney is pretty simple physics. The heat rising creates a strong draft that pulls the water up and out. You would get some steam back down but not a huge indoor flood. People have been putting out chimney fires that way for centuries because it works fast. It beats watching your whole house burn down while you wait for the fire department.

Guess my aim's as bad as @james_campbell12's panic... I'd probably just water the living room floor instead.
