Watch out for those $1.99 store brand soup cans - had a bad week with them
Last Wednesday I grabbed three cans of the store brand lentil soup figuring I'd save a buck over the name brand. First can was fine. Second can had this weird metallic taste but I ate it anyway. Third can? Opened it up and there was this grayish film floating on top. Stuck my finger in to check and it was slimy. Threw all three out and went back to the name brand. Cost me $6 total for nothing plus a wasted lunch. Anyone else had issues with certain store brands lately?

Wait, did you report that to the store? I had almost the same thing happen with their black bean soup a few months back (gray slime and everything). The smell was like wet cardboard mixed with old pennies, totally turned me off store brand soups for a while. I feel your pain on wasting that money and a good lunch.
