Appreciation post: The late night chatter lounge crew from 3 years ago in Portland

Back in 2021, I was stuck in a rut and found this little online chatter lounge that ran from midnight to 3 AM... the regulars there talked me through a rough patch with just dumb jokes and movie quotes. I still miss that specific vibe of random, kind connection that doesn't really happen in bigger forums now. Does anyone know of a current spot that still has that same feeling?

Remember those small forums got quiet for a reason, people just moved on. I actually find that same feeling now in some tight-knit Discord servers for niche hobbies, not big public ones. You have to dig a bit, but the late night voice chats there can get pretty close to that old lounge vibe.

Yeah used to think forums were totally dead. But you're right about those small discord groups, they can feel the same way.
