Warning: I tried a shortcut for stretching carpet in a tight corner that actually worked

Had a weird L shaped closet in a Phoenix remodel where my power stretcher wouldn't fit, so I used a knee kicker with a block of wood against the opposite wall for extra push. Anyone else have a trick for spots your big tools can't reach?

Nice! That's a solid workaround for a tight spot. I've used a pry bar wedged against the baseboard for extra leverage in a pinch. Sometimes you just gotta get creative with what's already in the room.

Oh man, the baseboard trick is a lifesaver. I once got a huge wardrobe unstuck by using a hammer handle and a paperback book as a shim. You start looking at everything in the room as a potential tool. Even used a belt looped around a door hinge once for pulling power. It's amazing what works when you're desperate.

Try a car jack next time, works like a charm.
