I just hit 50 job applications with zero callbacks

It was a real wake-up call about my resume. Has anyone else had this happen and figured out the fix?

Ugh, I have to disagree with the ghost job idea being the main problem. When I was looking last year, I got zero calls until I ripped my resume apart and rewrote it with way simpler language. Those automated systems toss out anything they don't instantly get. Have you tried running it through one of those free resume checker sites?

Honestly, could it be the job market itself? I sent out a ton last year with a solid resume. Got nothing. Then a hiring freeze hit my whole industry. Sometimes it's not you. The roles might be fake listings or they already have an internal pick.

Feels like ghost jobs are everywhere now. I see companies posting roles for months while friends inside say there's no real budget to hire. It just keeps the pipeline full for when they maybe get approval.
