TIL small claims court in San Diego is way more chill than I thought
Took my landlord to small claims over a $1,100 deposit dispute and the judge just had us talk it out for 15 minutes, no lawyers needed. She even told me my photos were better evidence than the receipt I brought, so I won. Anyone else find the process way less scary once you actually sit in the room?

Honestly it just shows how much weight people put on proof these days, everyone's got a camera in their pocket so a clear shot means more than a slip of paper. I've seen that play out in small claims and even just returning stuff at stores, the visual evidence just sticks better.
