My old weekly spread was a huge waste of space
For the first two years, I drew a full page for each day with big boxes for morning, afternoon, and evening. I switched to a single two-page spread for the whole week about six months ago. The change happened after a crazy Monday where I had to flip through five pages just to see my week. Now I just use a simple column for each day and it saves so much paper. Has anyone else moved from daily to weekly layouts and stuck with it?

Ever try those fancy planners with a million sections? I bought one and just ended up doodling in the margins.

Totally get that, @wells.karen. I was the same way for years, swore by the super detailed planners. Then I actually tried just using a blank notebook last year and it was a game changer. All that structure was just stress for me, making me feel bad when I didn't fill every section. Now if I want to doodle next to my grocery list, that's just part of the plan.

Yeah the blank notebook thing is real. I mean, I used to buy those expensive planners with like fifteen different trackers and it just made me avoid opening it. Now I just use a cheap notebook and scribble whatever. If a to do list turns into a sketch halfway down the page, who cares. It actually gets used.
