Saw a video saying you should always book flights on Tuesday

I watched a travel hack video last month that said Tuesday at 3 PM is the magic time for cheap flights. So I checked a route from Chicago to Miami every Tuesday for six weeks. The prices jumped around just like any other day. One Tuesday it was $220, the next it was $350. I think this 'hack' is just old info that doesn't work anymore with how airlines price things now. It made me realize a lot of these tips are just repeated without anyone checking if they're still true. I saved more by just setting a price alert and being flexible with my dates by a day or two. Has anyone else found a classic 'hack' that just doesn't pan out in real life?

Yeah, clearing cookies actually works. I did what alice_singh66 said for a flight last month and the price dropped. It's a simple trick that pays off sometimes.
