The big bag of rice trick nobody mentions
I kept seeing folks load up on instant rice packets at the store, paying like $4 for a small box that makes maybe 4 servings... My buddy at a diner in Laramie said to grab a 20-pound bag of jasmine rice for $12 instead. Why are people still throwing money at those little packets when this lasts me 3 months?

When I buy the big bag I just feel like a real adult for about a week until I spill half of it on the floor and my dog sneezes rice everywhere.

Lmao honestly this is such a mood. @cameronn62 you're spot on about the cat judging you, my dog does the same thing when I mess up. I swear I saw this cooking hack online where you're supposed to rinse the rice first to keep it from sticking, but I tried it once and ended up with wet rice all over my counter. The whole big bag thing is a scam anyway, half of it ends up in the trash because I forget I bought it until it's expired. But hey, at least we're trying, right?

Oh man, that hits way too close to home. I buy the big bag thinking I'm meal prepping like a boss. Then day two I trip over my own feet and rice goes everywhere. My cat just stares at me like I'm a failure. By the end of the week I'm scraping burnt bits out of the pot because I forgot I was cooking. Adulting is just fancy looking chaos.
