I just found out I've been paying for a 'budget' service wrong for two years

For the last 24 months, I've been sending a check for $19.99 to my streaming service every month, thinking I was on their basic plan. Yesterday, I got a mailer from them advertising their basic plan for $9.99. Turns out I was on the mid-tier plan the whole time because I clicked the wrong button during sign-up. I called them and they said they could switch me over, but they don't give refunds for past payments. So I basically threw $240 out the window. Has anyone else missed a cheaper option because of a dumb sign-up mistake?

Did you try asking for a supervisor? I got a partial credit after escalating my call.
