Teaching a greenhorn to spot a seam issue reminded me of my early days
We were on a job for a small heating unit last week. Back when I began, we relied a lot on feel and sound to find problems. Now, we have simple vibration tools that point stuff out easy. The kid used one and caught a bad seam before it got worse. Seeing him get it right with the new tools made me smile. It's a small thing, but it shows how the trade keeps improving. That kind of win makes all the hard days worth it.
Watch your GPS try to drive you into a lake. Seen it happen. Gadgets give you data, but your gut reads the room. A heart rate monitor won't tell you when to quit. Sometimes you just know. That feeling beats a blinking light every time.
