Looking back at my old game group in Austin
Three years ago, we met every Tuesday at a coffee shop, playing the same worn copy of Catan and arguing over trades. Last month, I tried to get a game night going with some new people, but two of them just looked at their phones the whole time. Does anyone else feel like the vibe of just sitting down with a board is gone?

That attention span thing is everywhere now, makes it hard to just hang out.

Watching my own kid try to watch a show is proof... he picks up his tablet before the theme song even ends. It's like we're all stuck in this loop of needing something new every ten seconds. Makes real conversations feel impossible sometimes. I miss when hanging out didn't involve everyone checking a screen.
