The $3 magnetic parts tray that saved my garage sale sanity
Bought a rusty magnetic tray for $3 at an estate sale in Columbus, cleaned it with vinegar, and now every screw and bolt from my disassembled lawn mower stays put. I used to lose at least one fastener every project, that tray paid for itself in one afternoon. Anyone else swear by oddball tool finds from estate sales?

Hell yeah.
Found a magnetic bowl on a farmers table for a buck. Thing's ugly as sin but now my workbench actually has a home for every little screw.
Better than the fancy ones at the big box stores. Those are overpriced junk anyway.
Good find.

A dollar? For a magnetic bowl that actually holds screws? Man, I paid twelve bucks for one at the hardware store and the magnet's so weak it barely holds a paperclip. The paint chipped off the first week too. Farmers markets always have the real deals, but I never find stuff like that. You got lucky, that ugly bowl probably outlasts everything else on your bench.
