Watched 'Bubble' on Netflix expecting nothing... ended up ugly crying 20 minutes in.

I went in totally skeptical because the premise sounded so weird, like a parkour anime in a weird Tokyo bubble. Then the whole scene with Hibiki and Uta at the abandoned shipyard hit me out of nowhere. The animation was just so beautiful and the music... man, it got me good. I actually had to pause and take a breather for a solid five minutes. Has anyone else had a show completely flip your expectations like that?

Jumped right into "Bubble" with low expectations too and had the exact same reaction. That shipyard scene with the music swelling and the water splashing caught me completely off guard. I was sitting there thinking it was just going to be a fun action anime and then bam, I'm wiping my eyes on my sleeve. Had a similar moment with "To Your Eternity" where the first episode completely wrecked me in a way I never saw coming.
