inJust realized how divided we are on holiday order prep
Yeah, I see your point... but leaning too much on last-minute stuff can backfire. Had a friend who tried that for his wedding, and the flowers wilted because the shop was overbooked. Doing base work early saves so much stress... you can focus on details day-of. It's all about finding balance, like you said, but I'd error on the side of early prep. Less chaos means you actually enjoy the event instead of running around. Plus, vibrant flowers can still be added fresh if the base is solid.

Yeah, I read that extra snacks can be a lifesaver on trails.

inMy cousins always want to help with home fixes, but I say no
My cousin helped me tile a bathroom floor a few years back and we had to rip it out and redo it two months later. I used to think it was a nice way to spend time together, but I mean, it just costs more time and money in the end. Now I see it your way completely, doing it alone is slower but actually less stress. You still have to clean up after helpers anyway.

inI redid my basement to store plane parts, and my wife is not amused.
Why bolt everything down? A little risk keeps life interesting. Bet your wife would prefer a story about the time a wing strut almost hit the water heater over another boring weekend.

inLabeling every bone fragment with silly stickers confused the whole dig
Oof, we've all been there with a system that backfires. Sometimes simple paper bags are the only thing that saves your sanity.
