I never understood the hate for my family's stew seasoning

Seasoning debates always blow my mind. Your grandpa's mix is part of your family story, and that's cool. But why do folks act like their taste buds are the law? Memories make food special, but they don't change how it tastes to others. The whole thing feels over the top. We're talking about a pot of stew, not world peace.

Appreciation post: My carrot patch is testing my patience like nothing else.

Three weeks and only a few sprouts? That's wild, I always heard carrots were slow but that seems extreme. My uncle used to say carrot seeds have a mind of their own, they'll sprout when they feel like it, not when you want them to. Honestly, I'd give it at least another full week before even thinking about replanting, because I've had some pop up after a month like nothing was wrong. Keep the soil evenly moist, that helps a ton with stubborn seeds.

Hot take: Job apps are pulling crews apart

Ugh, it's like we're training ourselves out of normal interactions. I see it everywhere now, like avoiding the checkout line to use a self scanner just so you don't have to talk to a cashier. Even getting coffee feels more like placing an order with a machine than having a quick chat with a person. Where do you think this is all heading?

Rant: Luxury vinyl is taking over cabin country

Watch everyone copy that fake wood look while barnes.skyler's place actually feels like a cabin.

My doctor told me to cut back on hours, but my manager just piles on more work

Actually, building on what @willowallen said, what if you showed your manager the doctor's note? Sometimes they need to see it in black and white.
