From a full gym to a resistance band under the bed...

I remember having a full home gym with bulky equipment... it felt like a luxury. After moving into my tiny house, I sold almost all of it. Now I keep a set of resistance bands and a yoga mat stored under the bed. At first, I worried my fitness would suffer, but I exercise more often now. Doing quick exercises in the small space saves time and keeps me moving. I sometimes miss the clang of weights, but having less clutter is kind of nice. It's funny how having less stuff can make you focus more on the habit itself.

Gear doesn't always bring on the guilt trips. For some, it's just a reminder of money spent with good intentions. The real shift happens in your head, not your closet.

What changed in how you think about working out?

Yeah that bit about missing the clang of weights is real. But you’re right about the clutter. All that big gear starts to feel like a guilt trip just sitting there. I get what @the_matthew is asking about the mindset shift, it stops being about the tools and just becomes about moving. My stuff is in a closet now and I actually use it.
