Our block's old phone booth became a little free library and it gave me a new view on giving
Back when I was a kid, that phone booth on the corner was always busy with people making calls. Now it just sat there rusty and empty for years. Last spring, someone suggested we turn it into a spot to share books. We all chipped in to clean it and add shelves. Now folks drop off novels and pick up kids' books all the time. It reminded me that repurposing old things can build a sense of community. My tip is to find one unused item in your area and ask neighbors to help make it useful again.

My own attic is full of useless old things, but at least yours became a library.

Repurposing old things builds community? Isn't it just a fancy way to say we cleaned up junk? It's a nice gesture, but let's not overthink it.
