Question about a brisket stall that lasted almost 12 hours

My 18 pounder stalled for 10 hours once in Kansas City. I just let it ride, kept the temp steady, and it finally pushed through. That brisket turned out fine, just needed more patience than I had.

Unpopular opinion: I used to think my old truck was fine because I didn't drive it much

Man, that math is a real eye opener. It reminds me of my neighbor who kept this ancient boat on a trailer, like what @the_brian said about his Jeep. He'd tow it to the lake twice a summer with his huge SUV, burning through a crazy amount of gas just for those two trips. He finally sold the whole setup and just rents a pontoon now.

Changed my mind about password managers after my cousin's Netflix got hacked

Forget the song idea from @jake638, use a passphrase made of a few random words. It's way easier to remember a silly sentence than a complex jumble of letters. Just make sure those words aren't something obvious from your life.

A client in Chicago told me my blowouts were too tight

My friend had the same thing happen with her braiding work. A client said it felt like a headache was starting before she even left the chair. She started asking people to tell her if the pull was too much right after the first few braids.

Unpopular opinion: The old manual drafting table I used in my first job in 2019 taught me more about scale than any CAD software ever has.

Honestly that sounds like pure nostalgia talking. CAD software lets you work at real scale from the start and undo mistakes instantly, which is way more efficient. Spending hours on a manual table just to fix one line seems like a waste of time now. The new hire is right to question it, because that old way slows everything down for no real gain.
