Fixed my sticky glass problem with a graphite trick.

Graphite helps it release clean every time.

Yeah graphite works great on metal... but it can actually stain glass or ceramic over time. For those, a tiny bit of cooking oil on a paper towel works better. Or just use actual mold release from the hardware store.

Totally... ruined a nice vase that way once. Never comes off right, just turns into this greasy looking smear. Now I just keep a bottle of the real stuff under the sink.

Man, that stained glass fear is so real. Tried the pencil lead trick once on a measuring cup and it left this weird smudge that never really came off. Makes you wonder if the fix is worse than the problem sometimes, you know? Always ends up being a bigger mess to clean up than just dealing with the stickiness.
