We started adding a $50 'rush fee' for same-day dock appointments after a client's urgent request

Some dispatchers think it just annoys customers, but it cut our last-minute scheduling chaos by like 40% in Q1. Anyone else try a small fee to manage dock time, or does it just burn bridges?

Figure out if the customers who pay the rush fee are the same ones who used to cause the chaos. We charge a bit more for after-hours dock slots and found it mostly stops the regular problem clients from asking.

Yeah, @norab21, that's basically surge pricing for bad behavior lol

My buddy's shop added a 50% weekend fee and their worst client, Mark, suddenly started planning his deliveries on Tuesdays.
