My cousin taking over my billing saved my sanity

Lots of folks say you should never let family near your business money. I get why, but I totally disagree. My cousin needed some part-time work, and I let her take over my billing. She found mistakes I kept missing and made the whole thing easier. Now I have more time to focus on actual client work. It's not for everyone, but for me, it solved a big problem. What's the worst family work mix-up you've seen end up good?

Honestly used to be totally against family and business mixing. Seeing how your cousin fixed your billing mess actually makes a lot of sense now. Sometimes the right person is just the one you already know.

But that can really backfire, @amyscott. Mixing family and work often leads to arguments that ruin both. I've always found it cleaner to keep those worlds totally separate.
