Chaos at home actually boosts my freelance productivity
Everyone says you need a quiet office to get things done. I find that my family's noise keeps me on track and creative. My son's random chat yesterday sparked an idea for a tough project.

Creative fuel" is such a better way to see it. I used to get so annoyed when my kid would cut me off mid-thought. But @shanem37 is right, framing it like that makes a huge difference. Now I keep a note open on my phone just for those random kid comments, and some of them turn into pretty good bits later.
