A client paid me in vintage comic books once

It was for a website rewrite, about $1200 worth of work. They showed up with a long box of 90s X-Men issues instead of a check. Had to figure out how to sell them fast before rent was due. Ever had a payment that was just... stuff?

Three months of your life wasted"? That's not a "cool problem," that's an absolute NIGHTMARE. I can't even imagine putting that much time into something only to watch it fall apart. How did you even survive that without losing your MIND? I'd be pulling my hair out by week two, let alone three whole months. You've got way more patience than me, that's for sure.
