Heard great things about the dumpling truck, but my soup was cold
In my experience, the food didn't live up to the hype. They served it lukewarm, which made the whole meal a letdown. Your mileage may vary, but I was pretty disappointed.

Next time, ask them to check the temp before they hand it over. Worked for me last week. You give it another shot?

Seriously, just be blunt about it. Tell them straight up you want it steaming hot, not just warm. I've done that before and watched them stick a thermometer right in the soup. If it's not hot enough, they usually zap it again or make a fresh batch. Saves you from wasting your money on a bowl of disappointment.

Man, that's a bummer! I actually read a blog post last week about how food trucks can have trouble with temperature control (something about limited power for warmers, I think). It made me wonder if that's why some places serve stuff lukewarm. Your experience totally lines up with that, which is a shame because hot soup is the best part. Maybe they need to tweak their setup, but who knows.
