My wholesaler told me to stop refrigerating proteas, and I thought they were crazy

They said the cold makes them drop their leaves, and after losing a whole $150 batch last month, I tried keeping them at room temp. Has anyone else found this works for other dry-climate flowers?

Was it wilting when it arrived? I had a batch of pincushions show up looking really sad last month. Stuck them in the fridge overnight and they perked right up. It's amazing what a little cool air can do for those delicate stems. I'm glad yours made it.
