My sister-in-law swore by using a splash of lemon-lime soda in the water for cut roses, and after my last batch of 'Queen of Sweden' roses from the farmers market wilted in a day, I tried it and they lasted a full week, which blew my mind.
What other weird 'old wives' tale' flower hacks have you all found that actually work?

My grandma's penny in the vase trick works.

Old school tricks always have some weird logic behind them. My aunt swears by putting a copper wire in her plant pots for better growth. It's like our grandparents knew these little life hacks before the internet explained the science. Makes you wonder what other simple fixes we've forgotten.

My grandma always told me to put an aspirin in the vase water. I thought it was total nonsense until my tulips were drooping last spring. Crushed one up, mixed it in, and they perked right back up by the next morning. It was like they got a second wind and stayed fresh for days longer. Something about the acid maybe? Those old tricks are wild.
