Honestly, do those routes stay easy once everyone starts using them? Tbh I've seen so many simple trips get wrecked by one lane closure or summer traffic that adds hours. New owners might pick a spot that looks good on a map, but they won't know about the usual backups or the road work that happens every single year. It's not really an easy route if you're sitting in your car forever. They might be in for a bad surprise if they don't ask someone local first.

See it differently from @sageadams. Some routes stay reliable because regulars know the workarounds. New owners can pick it up quick if they chat with neighbors.
