My 5 year old niece asked if our new house came with the weird pink carpet or if we picked it.

She said it looked like 'chewed bubblegum' and now I can't unsee it, making me realize we might have just accepted some truly wild design choices because we were so excited to finally get an offer accepted.

Honestly that pink carpet sounds like a total vibe. Chewed bubblegum is a cool description, it has personality. Most new places have boring beige floors that look like every other house. That carpet is a conversation starter and probably feels super soft underfoot. Kids notice the fun stuff adults learn to ignore.
