Looking back, that $400 home inspection felt like a fortune at the time.
It found a cracked sewer line the sellers didn't know about, which saved us over ten grand. Anyone else have an inspection find something that major?

My buddy almost skipped the inspection on his first house to save cash. The report came back showing the whole back deck was basically rotten and not attached right. It was a full rebuild, like eight thousand dollars easy. He said that three hundred bucks felt like the best money he ever spent. It's wild what they can find.
