Took a class on leather tooling for fashion accents... my designs look rough around the edges.
How do you smooth out the leather... without losing the detail?

Smooth the edges with a bit of water and a burnisher. I got carried away once and buffed out all my careful tooling... now I have a very shiny blank. Light passes are key if you want to keep those details intact.
