Got told my color combos were 'stressful' at a design review

Honestly, I was showing my spring collection mood board at a local meetup in Austin last month. This designer I really respect pointed at my main palette and said, 'That orange next to that lime green is making my eyes tired, it's stressful.' I went home and swapped the lime for a soft peach, and the whole vibe got way calmer. Has anyone else had a color choice totally change a design's feel?

Honestly I painted my whole house beige last year and the mood is just fine. Hayden144 probably just needs better lighting in that living room. People overthink color way too much.
