Can we talk about using leftover silk scraps for mock-ups?

I was wasting so much muslin on failed sleeve drafts until I started cutting my test pieces from old silk blouses I thrifted for $5. Has anyone else tried using different scrap fabrics this way?

Wasting so much muslin" is such a mood, I feel that. Silk scraps sound like a smart switch.

Switching to silk scraps saved me a ton of fabric waste last year, @hayden_nelson85. It's more forgiving than muslin for small tests in my experience. That change really cut down my scrap pile.
