Honestly, is this really something to have a whole family fight over? Tbh, just add whatever milk you have in the fridge and call it a day. Ngl, people get way too worked up about mac and cheese.

My own mac and cheese has caused more family drama than my uncle's political rants at Thanksgiving. The first time I tried adding an extra egg I ended up with something that looked more like a cheesy omelette than pasta. My grandma still brings up the year I used skim milk and it turned into this sad, watery mess that even the dog refused to eat. But honestly, everyone in my family is so opinionated that I just nod and add a splash of whatever they recommend while they're watching. Keeps the peace and nobody notices my secret ingredient, which is just shredded cheese on top right before it goes in the oven.
