Cloudy day sunscreen skip was my biggest goof
Honestly, I got a nasty burn that took weeks to calm down. Tbh, never trust a gray sky with your skin.

I always figured clouds blocked enough sun to skip sunscreen. Then I got roasted on a overcast day at the beach, and it was brutal. @maxt95 is right about those UV rays cutting through, it's no joke. My skin peeled for days, and I had to slather on aloe vera constantly. That one burn made me a believer in daily sunscreen, no matter what the sky looks like. Never making that mistake again.

Ugh, yes... the absolute worst. I made that exact mistake on a hike last fall, totally overcast and cool out. My face and shoulders were so fried and tight by that night, it hurt to wear a shirt. That one stupid choice led to like, a solid week of looking like a lizard and feeling so dumb. Now the bottle just lives in my bag, gray sky or not.

Those UV rays totally cut through the clouds. That gray sky can trick you into thinking you're safe, then bam, surprise burn. It's a rough lesson to learn for sure.

Seriously, I read somewhere that the UV index can be just as high on a cloudy day. I mean, it really doesn't matter if you can see the sun or not. Idk, that fact alone made me stop questioning it and just put the stuff on.
