That "just post everywhere" advice from a LinkedIn guru cost me 3 months
Some guy at a Houston startup mixer told me to cross-post my content on 5 platforms daily, and I burned out with zero real leads to show for it. Has anyone else gotten burned by generic networking advice that sounds good but doesn't work?

Three months is a long time to try anything that feels off, but calling it "burned" might be a stretch. If you were posting low effort garbage on five platforms, you'd get what you paid for. Maybe the guru's advice was bad, but it's on you to spot the red flag when someone says "post everywhere" without a strategy. Did you even track what was working after the first month? Plenty of people waste time on bad advice without getting dramatic about it.
