PSA: I swapped from a standard wire stripper to a self-adjusting model for a rewire job

I was doing a full rewire on a 1950s house in Springfield and had miles of 12/2 to strip. My old strippers needed me to pick the right hole each time. I grabbed a self-adjusting pair on a whim, and they just bite and strip in one motion. It cut my prep time by at least a third over two days. Has anyone else made a simple tool switch that saved a ton of time on a big job?

People forget the mental load of picking the right hole every single time. That constant micro-decision adds up to real fatigue by the end of the day. A tool that removes that step is a win for your brain, not just your hands.

So, did you also find a tool that makes coffee and does the cleanup?

Nah, but @emery199 has a point about that mental load being real. You ever notice how small choices can just drain you?
