Overheard a guy at the supply house say paper plots are dead

I was grabbing some rolls at the local supply shop near Buffalo last Tuesday and this older drafter was telling the clerk he hasn't touched a blueprint in 5 years. Actually said he uses a tablet to mark up everything in the field now. I stood there holding my roll of 24x36 like a dummy. Made me wonder if I'm just wasting money and effort sticking with paper. Any of you guys gone fully digital yet?

Being fully digital feels like another thing we just quietly switched to without really deciding to, doesn't it?

Noticed the same pattern with car keys tbh. We just stopped getting physical metal keys somewhere around 2015 and now it's all fobs and apps and nobody actually talked about it. Same thing with menus at restaurants - you used to get a physical one handed to you, now it's a QR code you scan with your phone. One day we just woke up and that was the new normal without anyone really voting on it.

Wait, five whole years without touching a single paper blueprint?
