Just hit 500 hours on my new drafting tablet and the wear pattern is weird
I got a Huion Kamvas 13 last fall and the center of the screen is already noticeably smoother than the edges. I mostly do mechanical detail work in SolidWorks, so my cursor sits in that middle zone a lot. Has anyone else seen this kind of uneven wear on a screen after a specific number of hours, and does it affect line accuracy for you?

Yeah, that's just the matte finish wearing off where you work the most. My old tablet got a weird shiny spot right where I do all my line art. It feels slicker there, so my lines can get a bit wobbly if I'm not paying attention. You get used to it after a while, but it's definitely a thing. Just part of breaking in the gear, honestly.

Your pen nib is probably wearing down faster in the center too. That changed friction could be throwing off your muscle memory for line weight more than the screen texture itself. Try swapping to a fresh nib and see if the feeling changes, even on the worn spot. It might be a combo of both surfaces getting polished down together. Have you checked your nib lately?

Oh, that's just the screen protector wearing down... the actual screen underneath is fine.
