The time I tried to fix my sink with a plunger and a prayer
Last week, my kitchen sink in my apartment just stopped draining, and I panicked because my landlord is slow. I grabbed my toilet plunger, thinking 'how different can it be?' After about 15 minutes of frantic plunging, I somehow created a perfect seal and a geyser of gross water shot straight up and hit the ceiling. My roommate walked in and just said, 'Did you win?' I had to clean the ceiling and finally just used a coat hander to pull out a huge hairball. Has anyone else had a simple fix go totally wrong in a messy way?

Wait, you used the same plunger from your toilet on your kitchen sink? That's the part that got me. You didn't even rinse it off first? I'm just picturing all that, you know, toilet stuff mixing with the sink gunk before it blasted your ceiling. How did you even eat in that kitchen afterward?

Look, it's all just water and germs anyway, so who cares?

Oh man, that visual is brutal. I once tried the same thing but with a cheap plastic bag as a glove. The bag ripped, my hand went in, and I felt things no person should feel. At least your ceiling got a free, disgusting shower.
