I finally fixed 100 squeaky floorboards in my old house

It took me about six months of working on weekends, but I just hit that number. I live in a 1920s bungalow, and the noise was driving me nuts. My method was just a tube of powdered graphite and a syringe to get it deep into the joints. Has anyone found a better long term fix for old pine floors?

Actually, graphite can sometimes make a mess over time. It can track out and stain rugs if you use too much. For that one bad board, a shim or a screw from below is usually the permanent fix.

Man, I respect the dedication. I've been in my own place for two years and still have that one board by the fridge that screams every time I get ice. It's basically my house's way of judging my midnight snacks. Graphite is a solid move for the old pine, honestly. I've seen guys try to screw them down from the top and just end up with a bunch of ugly holes and a new, different squeak.

Graphite is good, but that "screaming" board by the fridge might need a shim from below if you can get to it from the basement.
