PSA: A talk with my cousin in Lisbon made me rethink my whole work setup
Honestly, I was visiting my cousin in Lisbon last month and we got coffee. He's been a nomad for 5 years and saw me hunched over my laptop at a tiny cafe table. He just said, 'Pat, you're gonna wreck your back for a $3 coffee.' Tbh, it hit different because I never really thought about the long-term cost of working in bad spots just to save a few bucks. Has anyone else found a good, affordable way to set up a proper workspace without always paying for a fancy coworking spot?

Seriously, don't forget your feet! I started using a small box or my backpack as a footrest at random tables. It totally changes your whole posture from the ground up and costs nothing.

Wow, I read a blog post that called this "ergonomic debt" and it stuck with me. It basically said you pay for bad posture later with pain or doctor bills. That's why I try to fix my setup now, even if it's just propping my laptop on some books.

Oh man, that's SO real. I got a cheap folding laptop stand and a separate keyboard. Game changer for my neck. I just toss them in my bag and can turn any table into a decent spot.
