Coworking spots in Bali are way different than 5 years ago

I went back to Canggu last week and half the cafes I used to work from are gone or turned into members-only spaces. The one spot I found wanted $15 a day just for a table with spotty wifi. Anyone else feel like these places got too commercial?

Noticed the same thing everywhere, not just Bali. Local coffee shops back home started charging for wifi or limiting laptop hours too. Kinda feels like the whole remote work boom made places realize they can squeeze us for cash instead of just letting us hang out.
