Update on that 'bulletproof' EGR cooler delete kit

Installed one on a 6.0 Powerstroke last month, and the customer was back yesterday with a cracked up-pipe. Everyone says these kits solve everything, but skipping the factory EGR system just moves the heat and stress somewhere else. Has anyone else seen exhaust manifold or turbo issues after a delete, or was this just a fluke?

That extra heat warps the manifolds over time.

Oh wow, @rileyb61, I never even thought about the heat warping them. I always just blamed bad parts. That makes so much more sense.

What about the bolts holding it all together? In my old truck, the constant heating and cooling cycles made the manifold bolts stretch out and get loose. That caused its own set of leaks and cracks before anything even warped. It's a whole chain reaction of heat damage.
