Shoutout to the old timers who taught me to use a pry bar on every injector, but I switched to a slide hammer after a 6.7 Powerstroke in Spokane fought me for three hours.

I used to think a pry bar and some persuasion was the only way to get a stuck injector out, but that changed last spring when I spent half a day on a job and finally borrowed a neighbor's OTC slide hammer puller, which popped it out in two minutes flat... so when did you guys stop fighting with pry bars?

Half a day on a job" is the worst. Read a forum post once where a guy said fighting with a pry bar just mushrooms the injector body. Makes it worse. Slide hammer is the move.

Used to think a pry bar was fine for stubborn injectors until I saw one totally wrecked. That forum post about mushrooming the body is dead on, it just locks it in worse. Now I won't touch one without my slide hammer kit. Saves so much time and rage.

Totally, I learned that the hard way too and now my slide hammer is my best friend!
