Showerthought: I think a lot of people miss the best time to buy coffee

I mean, I used to just grab a bag whenever I ran out. But after tracking prices for 6 months, I noticed the big sales always hit right after a major holiday, like the week after Easter. The store near me had my usual brand for 5 dollars off last week. It's not about coupons, it's about the store's clearance cycle for seasonal stock. Has anyone else seen a pattern like this with other pantry stuff?

Totally true about the clearance cycle. It feels like stores just want to clear the shelves after a holiday weekend. They do it with all the themed paper plates and candy too. My pantry is full of weird holiday coffee flavors now. Grabbed some peppermint mocha stuff for cheap in January. You just have to be okay with buying out of season.

Heard a podcast say the same thing about that clearance cycle, totally backs up what @milessmith said.
